โUse Byโ date: Safe 5โ7 days after opening, even if past the printed date.
โ Smell & taste test: Sour = spoiled. Still sweet? Youโre good.
๐ง Cheese (Hard)
Cheddar, Parmesan, etc.: Can last months in the fridge.
โ Mold? Cut off 1 inch around it โ rest is safe!
Soft cheeses (like Brie): More sensitive โ toss if moldy or smells off.
๐ Meat & Poultry
โ Check: Slimy texture or sour smell = time to toss.
๐ Yogurt & Sour Cream
Safe 1โ2 weeks past โBest if Used Byโ date.
โ If no mold and it smells normal โ eat it!
๐ Bread
Stale โ spoiled. Dry bread is still safe โ toast it!
Moldy? Toss the whole loaf โ mold spreads invisibly.
