The Cotswolds, celebrated for its rolling hills, honey-colored stone villages, and timeless charm, provided the perfect setting for the couple’s next phase. DeGeneres and de Rossi, who have previously been involved in multimillion-dollar home-flipping ventures in California, quickly applied that same passion and expertise to their new life abroad. Within months of their relocation, they purchased two rural estates. The first, Kitesbridge Farm, spans 43 acres and was acquired in the spring of 2024 for approximately $20 million. They undertook an extensive renovation of the property before placing it back on the market.

By 2025, Kitesbridge was listed for £22.5 million, roughly $30 million, through U.K. Sotheby’s International Realty. Although the home had been transformed under their careful direction, the couple realized they needed more space to accommodate their lifestyle, particularly for de Rossi’s horses. “When we decided to live here full-time, we knew that Portia couldn’t live without her horses,” DeGeneres explained in a statement shared via Sotheby’s. “We needed a home that had a horse facility and pastures for them.”
