Today, Julian continues his fight from home. His progress is slow but steady. He is relearning how to drink from a bottle and regain the basic skills most babies develop naturally. Each day is filled with therapy sessions, medical visits, and continuous rehabilitation.
-
A cardiologist monitors his fragile heart.
-
An endocrinologist tracks hormonal balance, which can be affected by Down syndrome.
-
Pulmonologists and oncologists ensure his lungs and immune system remain strong.
-
Physiotherapists and occupational therapists work daily to improve his strength, coordination, and muscle control.
He still depends on mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy to survive. Each day, we carefully clean his tracheostomy tube, monitor his oxygen levels, and hope for another peaceful night without alarms. Even through these challenges, his smile — small and often hidden behind tubes — provides the courage and motivation we need to continue.
The Strength of Love
Having a child like Julian changes everything. Our daily routine revolves around medications, therapy, hospital visits, and constant vigilance. But it also revolves around hope — a persistent, unconditional hope that refuses to be extinguished. There are moments of fear and doubt. We wonder if he will ever walk, speak, or breathe independently. We question what the future holds. Yet when we look into his eyes, we see determination and light — a spark that reminds us why we can never give up. Julian has survived what many would not. He has taught us that true strength is not measured by size or age, but by the will to continue, even when circumstances seem impossible.
