Family Tributes and Public Grief
The grief over Myers’ passing has been deeply felt by his family. His sister, Tyree Trice, started a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral costs and described him as “a devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met.” Their mother, Renee Trice, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook along with a photograph of Myers with his children, writing simply: “This is not supposed to be so.”
