The deer stood there, the bigger one still calmly watching from a distance, while the little one stared at me with those deep, knowing eyes. I wasn’t sure why, but I felt as though the little deer was waiting for something from me—like this was a message, an invitation to something that I couldn’t yet understand.
Confused, I stood up, holding the locket tightly in my hand. I thought about what to do next. Should I try to follow them? Should I go inside and forget this strange encounter? But something in me, something primal, told me to pay attention. I couldn’t explain it, but the idea of simply walking away didn’t feel right.
